2011 Osram Mountain Rally

Friday 19 and Saturday 20 August 2011

The Rally in the mountains!!!

The Bloemfontein Sport Car Club is busy planning the 2011 Osram Rally.

On Friday 19 August, the shake down stage will be run, and the rally administration and scrutineering will be done at Barkly East.

The Rally starts on Saturday morning 20 August. There will be 8 stages run on Saturday - Bokspruit, Bottlenek, Clanville, Vaalhoek, Wartrail, Heuningneskloof, Vaalhoek and Show Grounds.

10 radio marshals are required, 5 start of stage and 5 end of stage, stages 6 and 8 will be done by the marshals from stages 1 and 2. Stage 4 will be used twice. The Medical teams are all radio amateurs.

There is a chance that we will need a marshal to ride around with the media vehicle.

Accomodation -

You are of course welcome to make your own arrangements if you have family or friends in the area. Just ensure that you are at your stage well on time.

A. Lady Grey - Joubert’s Pass - Radio TX 147.0875 RX 154.1375 Tone 162,2 - this will work from Aliwal North to the Golf Club in Barkly East

B. Barkly East – Langpunt - Radio TX 146.0375 RX 153.0875 Tone 162,2 - this will cover from Bottleneck and whole of the Barkly routes

C. Moshesh's Ford / Rhodes - 2 Peaks - Radio TX 146.8875 RX 153.9375 Tone 162,2 - Spare channel covers whole of Moshesh's Ford/Rhodes and Sterkspruit river, also Barkly.
